Author-it Software Corporation is pleased to announce the new 5.5 release and the launch of a new product Author-it Reviewer. In this release we have tackled and solved two of the most challenging problems in technical communication – conducting content reviews, and managing versioning and branching. We have also continued to improve performance and stability. Author-it Reviewer is an exciting new web-based product that revolutionizes the content review and approval processes. Author-it Reviewer reduces the traditional serial review process by up to 70% and transform it into a live, collaborative and interactive process.

Do You Need To Upskill In Author-it But Cannot Afford Time Out Of The Office?
Then the Author-it Online Course Series may be for you. There are a range of topics to choose from including Author-it Core, which is run over 4 consecutive days in 3 hour blocks, and is designed for a complete overview of the product, and a number of one hour courses that are designed to quickly upskill Author-it clients in specific areas, such as Customizing HTML, Author-it Variants and Structured Authoring. All courses are conducted by certified Author-it trainers and provide a great cost effective way to improve your productivity and efficiency. I Need to Log a Problem But I Can't See How To Do So?
In Author-it problems are called "cases". To be able to log a case you need to firstly login using your email address and password allocated at registration. Log in via the "Login Form" located at the bottom left side of this screen. Once you have done so, you will see additional menu options including "Cases" where you can view existing cases, and "New Case" where you can log new problems.
What If I Am On Version 4?
If you are on version 4 you will need to review the Upgrading to 5 process, complete acceptance testing and obtain a license file from your Account Manager prior to commencing the upgrade.
My Author-it Client Portal
The Author-it Client portal now provides direct access to latest files and all of the Author-it Documentation. In addition you can log new cases directly via this portal, and view progress on existing cases.
If you are an existing client, you will be able to log in using your current login id and password.
If you are new to Author-it, you will firstly need to register and we will then contact you regarding your requirements. Once this process has been completed you will be able to download a product evaluation, log support cases, view all Author-it Documentation and access the Knowledge Center.
Having Issues Accessing Areas of the My Author-it Portal?
If you are having issues accessing specific areas of My Author-it, or cannot see the software downloads option in the menu, it is likely you have either not registered or have not put in your login details (see bottom left screen). If this is not the case please contact the support team at
